Sibe-way in the Furniture industry

What is Sibe?

Well, it's not another 3D modeling tool. Nor is it a management, finance or logistics control tool. Sibe is a cloud-based platform for securely sharing 3D designs in glb, dae, step, and other formats with teammates, clients and suppliers.

What can I do in Sibe?

Upload a 3D file to the cloud. Add notes, measurements, and drawings. Compare versions. Review projects on mobile, PC, and tablet. Share it with your colleague, boss, client, or supplier. Receive feedback. That’s a lot of words to describe efficient collaboration.

What furniture industry problems does Sibe solve?

  1. Time to market can be annoyingly long, while new products require lots of coordination, review cycles, and getting approvals from forever-busy higher managers

We know this pain. Sibe helps to present the ideas to each other and collect feedback online. All departments can approve asynchronously so no need to accommodate to everyone’s schedules.

     2. Prices of raw materials are only getting higher, making budgeting and pricing harder.

How much time and resource do you usually spend on building (or printing) real-life prototypes? Sibe can facilitate easier communication with clients regarding material choices and cost implications. By sharing 3D models that demonstrate how different materials affect both aesthetics and budget, clients can make more informed decisions, leading to quicker approvals and fewer revisions.

    3. Eco footprint gets more heardable, environmental regulations require sustainable practices, increasing costs and requiring more investment.

Using a 3D review tool like Sibe reduces the need for physical prototypes, which in turn minimizes waste produced from trial and error in the design process. Or perhaps it’s possible to use sustainable alternatives such as bamboo, reclaimed wood, or recycled metals and textiles? Less transportation, less packaging, less waste.

    4. Turnover of assembly workers. There's also a shortage of skilled workers, which affects production and labor costs.

Sibe can be used as instructions tool for unskilled or new workers. Sibe is a tool that is intuitive understandable even to a newby. What can be easier than a real model that you can rotate, zoom in and out?

How can Sibe improve your workflow?

Let's say you work in a furniture design studio with a team of designers, technicians, engineers, and other professionals. Depending on the size of your company, there may be one team or several teams. You communicate with various clients and manage several projects at the same time.

Imagine, you're on the go, maybe in a cab or subway, with a coffee in one hand and your phone in the other. From anywhere, you can open up Sibe, since it works on phones, tablets, and computers. No need to download anything.

Sibe workspace page
That's what you will see on your screen: projects and 3D models in each one.

On your screen, you've got your own workspace with, say, three projects. Each client only sees their own project, because we use a really secure permissions system, so you know nobody can see stuff they're not supposed to.

You start with the most important project for you. Open up and there are all the comments from your team on your screen with their statuses. Only interested in completed items? No problem, filter them out.

You can drop a comment to reply to one, sort them, and filter by attachements and status

Wait, someone closed a comment that wasn't actually finished. Let's see why - click on that comment. Now you're taken right to that specific spot. The comment on the pin has a red highlight and a measurement, so you can check out the details. Interesting... What's the deal? What changed?

You don't have to remember everything, we have a version control feature, so let's check out the previous version. There it is! Change the status back to "in progress" and leave a note to your team to discuss it again.

What other issues does Sibe deal with?

  1.  Save on materials, packing, and shipping!

How much time do you usually spend making physical prototypes? Also, think about all the meetings and coordination with suppliers, not to mention the cost of mistakes. How long does it take for your prototype to get here? The money, time, and environment costs add up fast. It's time for a change! 3D design tools like Sibe can help you avoid physical models, reducing waste and making the design process more efficient.

      2. Talk with foreign clients and suppliers in other countries without words!

Customizing furniture for different countries can be challenging. It can be difficult to communicate with local vendors who speak different languages and have different cultural backgrounds. However, using Sibe can make negotiations and quality control more efficient. You can share and review 3D models without the need for verbal communication, and at the same time, gain a better understanding of each other.

     3. Save time on building fit-outs

It requires a lot of coordination between different people and all the logistics involved with materials. Sticking to tight deadlines and making sure everything is up to code can be challenging. However, Sibe is a single source of truth for fit-out solutions, which reduces the chance of mistakes and delays, ensuring that we stay on schedule.

      4. Create 3D instruction to colleagues and assembly workers!

Our clients also use Sibe as an instruction tool for unskilled or new workers, because it is intuitive and understandable even for beginners. What can be easier than a real model that you can rotate, zoom in and out? Just try it - and you'll be surprised how easy it is to work on your project.

Conclusion

Let's just sum up.

Sibe is a 3D collaboration tool that makes it easier to interact with models, instructions and ideas. You can exchange models and look at them quickly, with an easy-to-use interface that's like playing a video game – perfect for people who aren't used to traditional drawing methods. Plus, you can send 3D models to clients for review and they can't steal your ideas because you don't have to send them the original files. Sibe is also like a virtual 3D catalog, helping sales managers show samples more clearly.

Why use old methods when there's Sibe? Use it and speed up your work with all its great features.
